Walker Bay Beach Excursions

Pristine, private, and at our back door, Walker Bay Beach is a destination to be savored. Known for its “champagne air” it is a meeting point of mountain and sea, uniquely laced with spectacular marine life, coastal fynbos, and birds. Mosaic is the only place from which you can venture to a secluded part of this gorgeous beach, accessible only by 4×4, in an open air safari vehicle to enjoy unforgettable views of sky, sand dunes and sea.

Our late afternoon sundown excursions will treat you to your favorite beverages and canapes while gazing upon a sun-kissed horizon. Explore the mysteries of a stone-age archeological cave. Or take an 8 km beach walk where you may encounter sleeping seals that scurry off to the ocean when you wake them. Weather and wind permitting, our Lagoon Lodge guests can experience a lovely beach breakfast.

Southern Right Whales migrate to Walker Bay between June and December to mate and birth their young.  They can be seen as close as 20 meters from the shores of Hermanus and Gansbaai breaching, spraying and lob-tailing. Mosaic guests’ favorite place for peaceful private viewing is from the top of the sand dunes sipping wine on one of our sundown excursions. Be sure to bring along your camera and binoculars!

Walker Bay Beach Excursions are included as part of your experience at our Luxury Lagoon Lodge. If you stay in one of our Mosaic Cottages you can reserve a beach excursion as an extra during your visit. See our rates.  And we hope to see you at the beach!
